South Western Circle
St Alban's Church Hall,
Wood Street,
Guildford.
Wood Street village is on an un-numbered road that forms a loop off the A323 Guildford to Aldershot Road. The church is on the crest of a hill, opposite the Royal Oak. The hall is behind the church. There is a limited amount of parking in front of the church.
From Guildford the A323 crosses a 'double' mini roundabout. At the next roundabout turn left, signed Wood Street Village and Industrial Estate.
From Aldershot the Wood Street Village turning is on the right, just as the A323 does a left turn, approximately 3 miles after the level crossing at Ash station.
From the bus station in Guildford town centre, catch no 17 bus. This leaves hourly on the hour.
The stop required is the Royal Oak at Wood Street and the journey should take about 22 minutes (so the last bus for our meeting is the 13:00). St Alban's Church is opposite the Royal Oak and the hall is behind the church.
Return buses leave at 17:40, 18:22 and, just to confuse the visitor, are numbered 3 after 17:00 hours.
From Guildford Station go UP to the bridge and turn towards platform 8 (left turn from all platforms except 1). and exit from the Guildford Park Road entrance. Cross the Road to the Bus Stop and catch the no 17 bus a few minutes after it leaves the bus station.
